| High Technology Letters is a comprehensive academic journal jointly spon-sored by the United Office of High Technology R ＆ D Programme(also known as 863 Program) and the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, both under the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. What is published in the journal deals with the 6 major high technology fields including information and biology in the High Technology R & D Programme of China (863 Program). Made up mainly of academic papers about the research achievements of the 863 Program, the journal is China‘s sole toplevel academic publication on high technology.
The Chinese edition of High Technology Letters(monthly ISSN 1002-0470, CN11-2770/N) officially started publication in 1991,and its English edition (quarterly ISSN 1006-6748, CN11-3683/N) was derived in 1995. The two publications are concerned with information technology biotechnology ＆ modern agricultural technology, energy technology, resources and environmental technology and other high technology disciplines. Their chief features lie in:up-to-date content, rapid report, and what is reported consists of China‘s original research achievements in high technology.
